Ken is a third-generation investment professional with 35 years of experience. He started his career at the investment banking firm John Nuveen & Company, and he later worked at New York Life as a director of mutual fund sales. In 1992, Ken joined his father, Jack, at May Financial and at Maplewood Investment Advisors, Inc., as a licensed securities representative. In 2016, Ken co-founded Brown Ruth Advisors with Jack Brown and Peter Ruth.
Ken holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 66 securities registrations. Ken graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in finance and entrepreneurship.
Ken devotes a substantial amount of time to both his family and his faith. Ken and his wife Suzanne have raised two sons and daughter. Ken has coached both basketball and baseball for over 10 years. Besides spending many years teaching Sunday school, Ken also served as board president for HP K-Life, a discipleship ministry for kids ages 10 to 18. Ken enjoys playing golf, traveling, reading, and supporting the Baylor Bears.
